The name of this restaurant has the connotation of history and nostalgia about it, but it’s basically a modern day diner with historical photos of Jackson adorning its walls. We ate here a number of times when we first came to Jackson because it was quick and convenient. Yesterday’s has quite a large variety of choices on the menu, like most diners, and is open for breakfast and lunch. We continue to send people there occasionally, as it contributes to the diversity of Jackson dining choices. For breakfast you can sample the gamut from pancakes or French toast, to eggs, bacon & home fries, or just a bowl of hot or cold cereal, juice and coffee.

My sister ordered an omelet that was puffy and filled with cheese and vegetables, which she enjoyed very much. For lunch you can have burgers, fries, a variety of sandwiches, hot plates such as meatloaf and gravy, or a lighter choice, such as a Cesar salad. This isn't fine dining, but it is close, quick and reasonable in price.

Getting to the Shannon Door Pub is only a few minute drive away. You make a left out of the Lodge parking lot. Go 100 yards and right after Main Street you will see the Shannon Door Pub up on the hill on your right
