Before we became Innkeepers, we made several pilgrimages to the Mount Washington Valley to take care of various ‘pre-closing’ business. Although we stayed at The Lodge, the previous owners didn’t serve breakfast back then, so we were driving through North Conway one day and happened to see Peach’s Restaurant. Dana and Chris are perpetually hungry guys, so on a whim we decided to check it out. Peach’s instantly became one of our family’s favorite places to go for breakfast or lunch. Located on Route 16, the main thoroughfare through North Conway, it is right next to The League of New Hampshire Craftsmen, a store you will undoubtedly want to visit after you eat at Peach’s.

A good indication of the popularity and quality of a place is the number of cars parked outside, and it’s always hard to find a place to park in front of Peach’s! This older renovated house-turned-restaurant has many rooms, nooks and cozy crannies to have a casual & friendly meal in an intimate setting. They even have a small prayer room for quiet contemplation and meditation. Peach’s has been serving delicious meals for more than 7 years and the staff is friendly and efficient. In addition to extensive breakfast combos (served all day) and luncheon specials, there is always an assortment of freshly made muffins and cakes made daily by Carol, one of the owners. Be sure to ask about her signature ‘Peaches and Cream Coffee Cake’. Some of our particular favorites are the pancakes and waffles served with fresh fruit and real NH maple syrup, and the Quesadilla Omelette.

I am a particular fan of the vegetarian versions of Peach’s Tahini Salad or the Spinach salad, and the dressings are homemade, light and flavorful. One of the fun things to do while waiting for your meal to arrive is to look at all the decorated napkins under the glass table top. A signature past time here is to write a comment, draw a picture or write a little bit about where you hail from. If you leave it on the table when you leave, you may just find it as part of peach’s collection of ever-changing ‘Tabletop Art’ the next time you visit! To locate this restaurant, just look for the peach colored building with all the cars! They serve breakfast and lunch 7 days a week from 7 am to 2:30 pm.
