Shannon Door PubRt. 16, Jackson, NH For lively conversation, good music and a fun, low-key atmosphere, try the Shannon Door Pub. Noted for its home-made thin crust pizza and Irish specialties. This is VERY casual, paper plate type fare, but family owned and run for many years. The Pub is fine for families with children for early suppers, but more appropriate for adults who want a pub atmosphere with live music & rather boisterous Irish entertainment in the evening.

Flatbreads2760 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 The people at "Flatbreads" believe that food is sacred and they work very hard so their customers can have a spiritual eating experience. They are probably one of a small number of pizza restaurants in New England that use pure spring water, organic flour, kosher salt and real cake yeast to make their own pizza dough.
Muddy Moose2344 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 This restaurant is a winner if you are a kid or a family; it’s a highly popular spot and has been literally packed to the gills since opening day! The Muddy Moose has a clean, woodsy décor, from the field stone working fireplace to the antler chandeliers. Snowshoes, rustic log furnishings, and a rowboat with oars are some of the accoutrements that help create the North Country ambience.
Bellini's1857 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 It all started in Rhode Island with a meatball sandwich and an orange soda for just $.50! Today they’re known for their more-than-most-can-eat pasta portions in a large family-owned and operated restaurant ‘on the strip’ in North Conway. Owner and Chef Vito Marcello has made several TV appearances and has his own line of specialty sauces and Italian foods which are available to take home from the restaurant’s gourmet section.
Peach's2506 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 A good indication of the popularity and quality of a place is the number of cars parked outside, and it’s always hard to find a place to park in front of Peach’s! This older renovated house-turned-restaurant has many rooms, nooks and cozy crannies to have a casual & friendly meal in an intimate setting.
Elvio's Pizzeria2888 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 Their tag line is “Best Pizza North of the Bronx”, and their pizza really IS pizza! Elvio’s family emigrated to the US in 1925 from Naples, Italy and Catania, Sicily, opening their first pizzeria in the Bronx in 1940. Using old family recipes, they still make their pizza exactly the same way they did back then: each crust is hand-tossed to order and baked on stone decks.

Red Parka PubRoute 302, Glen, NH 03838 The Red Parka has been around for a long time, and has a large local following since 1972, (especially for Open Mike nights and various events held in the Pub). It’s not really located in Jackson, but is very close, and since it’s the only Steakhouse and Salad Bar in the area, we felt we had to include it.
Lobster Trap2840 West Side Road, North Conway, NH 03860 Whenever our guests ask, “Where can we go for lobster?”, we send them to The Lobster Trap, a family owned restaurant since 1982. White Mountain Cider CompanyRoute 16A, Jackson, NH 03846 I have a special affinity for the White Mountain Cider Company, because it is what indirectly brought us to New Hampshire. When its former owners listed it for sale in 2004, Dana and I found out and came to take a look.

Shovel Handle PubRoute 16, Jackson, NH 03846 The pub has a truly unique and wonderful ambience. The 3-story post and beam barn has many levels, making it conducive to finding various little hideaways to meet with friends for a drink and some light tavern-style food. The rustic charm adds so much to the experience here. Little white lights adorn the hand hewn beams creating a wonderful effect; and the large stone fireplace, complete with hanging moose head, completes the picture. Black Cap Grille1498 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, NH 03860 The Black Cap Grille opened in the summer of 2009 in the new shopping complex that houses Eastern Mountain Sports at the far southern end of town.
