The Chef’s Market of North Conway is a unique gourmet market and restaurant on Main Street in town. It offers a full line of prepared gourmet dishes, hearty sandwiches, homemade soups, made-to-order salads, and wine & beer, as well as catering services on or off site. Owned and operated by Chef Bryant Alden, the American Culinary Foundation’s pick for ‘Chef of the Year’ in 2004, he and his wife combine traditional New England fare with international ingredients for a delicious and beautifully presented meal.

This market offers healthy foods using extremely fresh ingredients for dining-in or take-out. We like to suggest Chef’s Market to our guests for stocking up on picnic food items when hiking up Black Cap, going to Echo Lake, Diana’s Baths or taking a trip over to the Ledges. Our son Noah and I discovered it one day and were totally delighted with our meal. Noah’s company held their privately held Christmas party there and he said it was extraordinary. They are open daily from 11-7 (6 pm on Sundays); closed Tuesday.

Directions

Chef’s Market is just a short ten minute ride into town. You make a right out of the parking lot onto Route 16 South. You go 2.5 miles to the light in Glen, New Hampshire. At the light you make a left turn to continue on Route 16 South. You go about eight minutes and as you come into town you will go through one light. Chef’s Market is about a half mile past the light on the right (Opposite Joe Jones).
