The “As you like it bakery & café” is centrally located in Jackson, New Hampshire. It Is right by the Post Office and Jackson Chamber of Commerce and can be quite the social gathering point. But for some reason, despite the best efforts of the last three owners, this business has had a hard time launching itself. They now have a new set of owners and have been doing quite well.

The concept is a good one: homemade soups, salads, sandwiches and baked goods in a coffee shop atmosphere with access to the internet. In close proximity to the popular Jackson Falls, this bakery is one of three choices in Jackson to go for take-out picnic lunches (the other two being the J-Town Deli and Yesterday’s).

Ask them to pack you a cup of soup, some sandwiches, chips or a salad and a cookie for dessert. There are numerous beverages to choose from, and this café is just a short hop on foot to Jackson Falls where you can have a beautiful picnic and go swimming in the river.

Directions

As you like it bakery & café is only a short walk or drive from the Lodge. You take a left out of our parking lot onto Route 16 North and go about 100 yards. Make a right turn onto the Jackson loop and go just over half a mile. Right after you cross the stone bridge make a left by the Jackson Grammar school onto 16B. Go 100 yards and turn into the Jackson Market Place. You will see the bakery in front of you.
